Entering the Sagrada Familia expiatory church, the unfinished masterpiece of the brilliant architect Gaudí, is one of the best things to do in Barcelona.

The greatest exponent of Catalan modernism, Gaudí took the reins of this church’s construction in 1883, the first stone of which had been laid a year earlier, leaving all plans to future architects to complete the work on his death in 1926.
With its marvellous interior and exterior, we can say that the Sagrada Familia is comparable to no other church in the world, largely thanks to the experience and new techniques used by Gaudí, creating a naturalistic style, where all its elements blend in total harmony. As a curiosity, we can tell you that on the outside, the three facades dedicated to the birth, passion and glory of Jesus stand out, and that the towers will reach 172 meters when the monument is completed.
When completed, it will be the tallest Christian church in the world. As you can imagine, we’re already looking forward to seeing it in all its splendor.
